Default Why would a vette lean to one side ?

Gents...

My brother just purchased an '81 Vette.
Now in his garage(levelled), we noticed that the car is leaning on the driver's side, front and back.

We took precise measurement and we're talking an 1.5 inch lower than the passenger side.
What can cause this and what to do to fix it ?

Input anyone ?

Phil

Depends on where you measured the body. If the frame rails are 1.5" different look at the suspension and frame for signs of worn, broken, or damaged parts. If the frame is level and the body itself is off-level, I'd suspect that the body mounts are worn out.

Lean yes, but not even !

We step back away from the vette and looked at it from behind.
Its leaning lower on the driver's side...

Ask your sister-in-law to get out of the car and remeasure.

You might also try measuring the spring flex by measuring both the Driver and pass sides, the distance between the A-arms and on the rear by measuring the end of the spring on both sides to the frame. That might give you an indication of a bad spring?

Are you on level ground? Turn the car around. Does it still lean on the same side?

have you had that one side jacked up recently? it will sit down eventually.

Then you might consider moving over to her side getting straight to the point and leveling things out...
