Default Battery spec 1982

Hello guys !
I´m renovating my flat (!) and I cant find my shopmanual, need to by a new battery for my 1982 (CE).
Can anyone please tell me how many amp-hours it should have and perhaps also how big in cm (or inch).
I will probably not buy expensive, or perhaps I should buy Delco, what do you say guys ?
My car is in a far away storage so I cant meassure the excisting battery before I buy.

Thanks a million !

Just go to a local parts store and they can look it up to determine the size battery you need. When I changed the battery on my 82 I also had to get a new tie down as the existing didnt work with the new battery...$5.99.

A series 75 or series 78 (bigger) will fit in a stock '82. I always go for the battery with the most cca's, cold cranking amps. The higher the cca's, the more expensive. Your '82 probably came with a series 75 with about 500 cca's.

Thank you guys!
I suppose your "cca" is short for what I would translate Swedish into "Startampheres" ? What is "cca" actually short for ?

A lokal dealer told me yesterday that the batteryproducer Tudor recommends 70 Ah and 630 Startamps to my 1982 car and I also localized a batteridealer in my town that can provide me with what I´m searching for.
The dealer told me that the higher "Startamps" the easyer it is to start the car and also that even if you use a battery with much higer Startamps it can not dammage anything in the starterengine (correct expression for the electric engin ?). The amount of Ah in the new battery gives a hint of how long you can expect the the battery to hold currence if you let it drain.
Every day in life you learn new stuff )

So thanks once again and se you around in this wonderful forum!
BTW What is the adress to the "1982 CollectorEdition-forum" ? Cant find it, do you know ?

Battery cca's stand for cold cranking amps at 0 degrees. Have a look at this.
