I got my old engine out today, without any problems!

so I want to use new mounts for the new engine, which ones should I go for? standard ones for my 78 from zip or poly's??

I went from stock to solid and really like the change in rigidity.

Nah not too bad. If I really concentrate I can feel them but if I don't look for them I can't tell. No one that rides with me detects any vibrations either.

I went with poly. I can't say that I can really tell a difference, but I figured if I was replacing them, I might as well upgrade.

If you get stock ones, don't buy any in a Corteco Mountec or ROL Manufacturing box. I work for Corteco and this week I tried installing a set of our mounts on my car. I hate to badmouth the company that puts food on the table but they didn't fit. I fought with them for 2 evenings (about 4 hours total) trying to get the bolt holes to line up. I gave up and went to NAPA and got another set. In a half an hour, I had the bad mounts out, the NAPA ones in, and everything bolted up.

I have a set of chrome/red Energy Suspension polys around here, never installed. After Norval and several other tech gurus here raved about the solid mounts, I went that way and never looked back.
