Type of engine?
I have an '81 and I am trying to figure out what type of engine is in it. I do not believe its the stock motor because according to the casting number, it is either a '69 302 from a Z-28, a '69 327 from a truck or industrial or a '69-'80 350. I am assuming its going to be a 350 simply because it has the largest year window. The numbers on the opposite side of the casting number is 8109 (I think), which I was told was related to the year the motor was made, but I don't how to figure that out. The numbers in the front of the engine which would tell me more specific info were filed off (the punks). Any help would be much appreciated.

You will need to get the entire casting number off the back of the block. This will tell you if it’s a 327, 350 or some other cubic inch engine.
However without the stamp pad code, it’s going to be impossible to narrow down exactly what the engine is out of.
You may get the casting numbers off the heads and then in conjunction with the casting number from the back of the block narrow it down.
327 could carry these casting numbers:

350 could carry these casting numbers
3932386 3932388 3956618 3970010 3970014 376450 460703 14016379 14010207
305 On later cars.
