Just replacing stock brackets is crazy expensive, which makes the serpentine system more practical. Do the electric fans need to get tied into the wiring harness or directly into a spare fuse socket? I just bought a Diwitts aluminum radiator kit with the dual fans. This seemed to be the better application for a serpentine system. I still have to choose on the right serp system. I just want it to all fit under the hood. I'd like to figure out how to add a centrifugal supercharger too. All in time...
You might want to check out the Vintage Air Frontrunner System. Don't know if the Big Block will fit but I have the Smallblock version in my 80. Exspensive but all CNC machined from Billet. You will need to switch to a GM Type II PS Pump and will probably have to go to a remote resavor for it. If you are useing a Rack and Pinion Steering then You will want a reduced capacity Gen II.Front Crank Pulley is Very Close to the Frame I thought I was going to have to Cut but I didn't it was all a straight bolt in. This is one of the Few aftermarket parts that I thought would take forever to make it work and it just bolted in a day. Once in with an Electric Fan setup You will wonder what to do with all the new room You gained.
