Hi, My wipers only work when the wiper switch is depressed for the washers. I replaced switch, wiper overide switch, and vaccum overide switch. No change with the wipers after the items were replaced. What could I be overlooking?

Since the dark blue wire on your switch is the washer mode of the wiper system. When you press the wiper switch you are grounding out the wiper washer mode.
I would start with this:
Make sure the center dash cluster is grounded at the back of the gauges.
If the dash center bezel is broken at the tiny area, I would run a jumper ground from the switch to the back of the gauge cluster.
Make sure the wiper motor has the ground on it from the terminal on the outside to the blower motor circuit.
Verify the ground on the wiper relay (in the console with a black wire with a white stripe) is a good ground.
Not wanting to hi-jack this thread but can you give me any info on a '73 wiper problem. My washers come on when I turn on wipers and don't shut off .I have fiddled with the switch ,no diffence ,still washing T.I.A. Reggy
Have you tried unplugging the connection and turning it around and plugging it back in. Yours sounds like it was acting just like mine. I plugged it in backwards accidentally after working behind the gauge cluster and didn't realize it. Try flipping the connection around before you buy anything else! If that doesn't change anything, at least it was free.
