Are there any L-88 flares out there that actually fit decent out of the box? I know its a ton of work to install flares correctly and to make them look nice, and I know no flare is going to fit without some modifications and 'glass work. This being said, almost everyone who I have talked to said that the ACI L-88 flares don't even come close to fitting. Any L-88 flares out there that are of a better fit?
Go w/ FGregg Racing.I am using the ACIs on a car here, but I am going to work them in to fit the tires,so they won't be stock pieces from them. The ones on my car were done in the late 60s/early70s,and they are press moulded.I don't know anyplace to get them now.
You only have a couple options...FGregg racing,ACI,Vanacor, and Ecklers.Atleast, those are the only ones that I know.....

I was thinking about going with fgregg flares, but according to several forum members, they are the same fit as the ACI ones.
I don't think that anyone out there makes a one that really fits our cars.I am a dealer for ACI,and Vanacor, but I said FGregg because he was around these cars when they used them FOR REAL.Super nice guy!
I may need to get my flame suit on here, but I love these cars as much as anyone,but....to me.....The only design flaw from GM is the way that our rear wheels fit the wheel opening.Even on my car.I love the way my roadster looks from certain angles, but if you are looking at it from the side......I just don't like it.It is out of proportion.Atleast, when you are starting from scratch....you can make it how you want.I am doing a customers car here that is a forum member, and I promise you....his wheel openings w/the flares won't look like mine at all!

It doesn't have to be like that, although common it's just a sign of a poor install. With some work you can actually get the flare centered pretty good over the wheel.
My brother just moved the whole rear axle backwards to make it fit properly.
