Default Key warning buzzer switch? Doesn't exist?

So, I've got the steering column torn down and ready to go back together finally. But.... the key warning buzzer has never worked - I think. I recall a black ground wire under the dash that buzzed when it was grounded. Perhaps the switch was the problem. Pulled the switch, trailing plastic pieces. Crap. Went to order a new one and can't find it.

The ones that have the switch are for non T&T and less than $20.
The ONLY place I've seen it billed as FOR T&T is Dr Rebuild and they want $70 for NOS. No other kind.

C'mon guys. Save me from paying $70 for a switch listed above for $7.95.

Does NO body really make this for the '75 T&T?

These people in Puyallup Washington have many new and used parts. When I went to there online order parts they listed used at $25.00. Looked up part number and found GR. 2.195 part number 7811093 for the 69-76 Wheel T&T. There was no picture available for this switch.
Also if you look at part number 7811092 this switch is for 1977-1982.
Both switches are for Wheel T&T

I believe that the GM switch number 7811093 is the correct key buzzer switch for a 1969 through 1976 T&T column. For $25 you better grab it.

On my '71, the warning buzzer is achieved by actuating the horn relay. The key switch must work, of course, but the signal needs to go through the door switch and on to the horn relay. The 'reed' switch in the relay is used as a pulsed vibrator when called for by the ignition key switch (when key is in the ignition and the door is open).

I suspect the first one to be what I'm after. The second PN doesn't look anything like the one that came out.

Called. Sadly it's not in stock and he doesn't know anyone replicating them. Theirs go back into rebuilt steering columns. I'll be in Florida next week. I seem to recall a wrecking yard that specializes in corvettes there. Lessee...... ah!

Nope, called there and they get $950 for a rebuilt column. If they don't keep the switches, they can't get them anywhere.
Going to have to look at other GM cars but the story might be the same. Trans am got hauled to the engine shop to swap Wednesday. I mentioned I had to go look for parts and the owner handed me an unknown GM steering column. I was able to pull a mighty nice sector gear and a few other parts out of it. Neither he nor I could ID the year or car it came out of.

That's true. During my searches, the door ajar switch was often referred to as a key buzzer switch. Haven't looked at my wiring diagrams yet but I know my door ajar light (currently replaced by a soft neon light in the gauge cluster and run thru a 12 pin plug) had not been working for a while. Perhaps my column switch implosion was a recent occurance.

Well, the search goes on.....
I suspect, with some time constraints, I will end up with a hole in the center of the steering column until I track one down. Should work fine without one until then.
