'76 Wiper Relay problem
I have had problems with my wiper motor not always restarting if used intermitantly so I have removed the wiper motor and done some tests. it appears that the relay is faulty in that when the wiper goes to park position, it just clicks when reactivated. If you give the wiper shaft a nudge, it will go another revolution then park again, only sometimes will it restart on the grounding of the outer connector terminal unless it is nudged again. When it's going it appears to be ok so what can go wrong in the relay and how is it fixed?

Ground problem!
The wiper motor has 1 ground which is a black wire usually connected to a bell housing bolt and the switch needs a seperate ground, try connecting a ground wire from the switch to a good ground under the dash. PG.

Yes, I have done all of that, I did some more work on it today, and I tend now to think that the motor armature is shot, it is getting worse as I try it out of the car. Time for a new one I think!

Well, the armature was ok, but the relay was shot, so a fellow corvette club member who is an auto electrician replaced that. Seems to go ok now, here's hoping. Apparently, the relays are now available again after some time unavailable.
