Interiors paint codes
I'm going to repaint my 69' Bright Blue Vinyl interiors and I need the PPG or Du pont paint codes.
I know that some stores sells the correct one ready to paint, but I live in Italy and they can't ship airmail because it's hazardous, so I need to reproduce the correct color here in Italy

You don't want to 'paint' the vinyl interior parts. Those are colored by applying vinyl dye [not paint]. Contact an auto paint supplies store in your local area for info. You can have them match the dye color to the paint codes you now have.

Paint is a pigmented coating which has more thickness and can chip/peel off the vinyl [when it flexes]. Dye is much thinner, coats and covers better and will not chip/peel when flexing. You can dye a part as many times as you want and as many colors as you want while still retaining the detail of the part [surface grain, etc.]; you can only paint interior parts once or twice, before it doesn't look like that part any more. Car manufacturers dye interior parts. Isn't that reason enough to do the same?
