Default help with turn signals

My 80 vette signals stopped working. They worked when I got the car and then stopped. I have working hazzards but when I try the signals they don't even light up. I have tilt steering and thought that could have started the problem but not sure if there might be something else before I try getting into the steering column which looks like a pain in the ****.

New developement. When I push on the brake pedal the brake lights do light up and then if I use my turn signal lever while I am pressing the brake it will turn off the corresponding brake light. Thats really weird to me. So I guess there is a good connection. Brake lights work and signal lever makes left or right brake light turn off but doesn't flash.

Thanks
B

I think there are two different flashers. One is dedicated to just the hazzards and the other to turn signals. Replace the turn sig one and see if that's it.

There two different flashers. I believe the hazard flasher is attached to the fuse panel. The turn signal flasher could be inside the console or behind the glove box. Not sure on that.

As the other guys said the flasher-its probably open.On your 80 both the turn flasher and hazard flasher are on the fuse panel-just use the hazard for the turn sig and see if that makes them work.

Well, I figured it out with your help. Took out the flashers and tested them both with the hazzard switch. They both worked so I checked the connection and it was just a loose connection. Now they work great. Thanks again, I didn't know where to start. So glad I didn't have to mess with the steering column.
