Default Fiberoptic question

How/where does the fiberoptic cable go thru the firewall? Is there a connector that plugs into the fuse holder block? Both ends of the under dash cable were cut off, and I can't see where it was suppose to go.

Just below the fuse box the optics split out of the harness and go thru their own grommet.

Crawl under the car and look up below the brakes. Is is very dark up under there get a lot of light.

Just took a look at my 70 and it apears that the optics split off from the gen & forward lamp wiring harness to go through a separate hole (with grommet) below and to the outside of the wiring junction block (below the master cylinder/booster). The assembly manual confirms this- UPC 12 sheet A6. The parts are referred to as the "Lamp Monitor" system. This is as viewed in the engine compartment, not from under the dash.
