Starting on reverse and drive gear concern
Hi All- I just noticed after several months of owning my '75 that the vehicle would start on both reverse and drive gear. I am very much concern as I sometimes forget that the car is on either drive or reverse after shutting off on its own. Any idea on how I can get my mechanic to correct this problem and how much you it may be. Thanks..

It's attached to the base of the shifter in the center console. Often, the switch goes bad and Bubba will take a wire and bypass it. Your switch is likely either missing and/or bypassed.
