what do you mean by 'a bit sensitive'?? you have to correct the car direction like a olde tyme car from say the 60's??? or you mean it follows ruts in the higher speed roads....ground in there by heavy trucks???

Over correct.. you mean you constantly fighting the wheel and keeping it on track??? side to side, and back/forth as in days of olde.???

and then I curious to know about your tires and wheels....size/type and condition of front/rear suspension....

please let me know....very curious about this techy topic....

I have Michelin 245/60/15's, both front and rear suspension rebuilt including Bilstein Sport Shocks and bigger frt sway bar. 1/2 degree negative camber.

A slight turn of the steering wheel and the car tends to dart a bit. Do not have to fight the wheel and after a week or 2 of driving it is a non issue. I've been told that if one reduces the pump pressure this will solve the problem , but, haven't bothered.

I have been running a jeep box for over 4 years and 30000 miles, best mod in 30 years of modifying my SWC. Slot the upper a arm cross shafts a 1/4 inch so you can get 4 to 5 degrees + caster and she will drive like a modern day sports car. Plus 2.5 turns lock to lock.

3rd fast on the day out of over 100 mostly late models.

Its all in the box

Here is another shot of a jeep box in my sons 73 with mostly stock suspension putting 3 scca auto crossers on the trailer while setting fast time in C3 class.

Warning, don't try this at home with stock steering!!!!

Not trying to hijack the thread, but where did you find Michelins in 245/60/15? That's a hard size to find. I didn't see them on Tire Rack.

They were on the car when I bought it 3 yrs ago. Heaven knows how old they are, probably very! They wear like iron.
