Default Stage 8 Header fastners help

Ok, so I have my hooker side mount headers installed, bolted down, warmed up and cooled down. I've snugged my bolts and I'm finding out that these wonderful Stage 8 locking bolt do-hickies wont clear my header. What do I do? surely im not the first person with this problem?

Don't forget that you can trim the locking clip. Had to trim some off on the set we put on a L98 and you can take more off than you think and still work. Just tighten them up good and you should have no problems we have had them on for 2 seasons now with no problems.

GOOD LUCK wro87

hey thanks i trimmed them off and got them all mounted fairly easily. i guess the thought of cutting my 50 dollar bolt set never occurred to me but it appeared to work, did u have to back some of your bolts out about maybe an eighth of a turn to get the lock clip to match up?

Use a grinder and grind a little more off the stage8 clip so it clears the header tube.
