1977..It seems like my hood should be closing tighter. I have removed shims from the hood side catch, but doesn't seem to make a difference. Should I be adding shims instead? I don't see any other adjustments. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I think you can remove the latch loops from the hood, and put them in a vise to 'shorten' a bit. I have not done this so I cannot give specific details, but from what I have read it's usually enough to let the hood latch lower.

Thanks for the response. Sounds logical. I only have one shim left, and I was thinking I should leave it in just for support between the hood and the loops. Cheers.
