there are some screw in plugs at bottom of block. in the middle, just above oil pan, there seems to a very small amount of oil leaking out, what the best solution to the problem, some different sealant around the threads??
Those plugs are your block coolant drains. Now would be a good time to pull the plugs, drain and flush the the block and refill.
Seal the plugs with pipe dope before reinstallation, or if corroded, replace them.

Also note that when pulling an old plug out, use a 6 point socket, not a 12 point, and the hole will probably be plugged up with crap so not much water will come out. If that's the case, use an awl or small screw driver to poke out the blockage.
