Quite a diff between those two.
Forged crank, rods, pistons, heads, centre head, carb, cam & more if you want to duplicate the LS-6.

If you just want a good 454 making approx same HP that's much easier now days!

You need pistons to up your comp a little, you should have good enough heads, a roller cam & set-up & some quadrojet & timing tuning & you should be there.

Yes, an LS4 can be converted to LS6 specs. You need to find a machine shop that can convert a 2 bolt block (LS4) to 4 bolt main caps. You need to purchase the 5 main caps and have them alignbored to your block. Then you need to purchase the forged rotating assembly as the previous poster stated << Forged crank, rods, pistons, heads, centre head, carb, cam & more if you want to duplicate the LS-6>>. Another alternative is to purchase a complete GM crate motor such as a 502!!!
