Good reply there razz. Being a bit of an old guy myself iv seen a few vettes in my days but frankly I dont think the C5s even look like real vettes. I think G.M. is trying to get the EUR O feeling to maybe capture some offshore sales.I mean what happend to the fenders and lines that made these cars so great.Ive yet to walk around my VETTE and thought
'"Boy thats an ugly car"From a distance I couldnt tell the diff between a C5 and a new toyota ,but thats just my opinion.

When you are driving a C3 EVERYONE knows it is a CORVETTE. I don't know how many people have told me I like the OLD body style much better than the NEW Ones.
And it is still a lot cheaper to drive and maintain a C3

No let's not. :) Looking at the bright side, there are a lot of C5er's that are first time Vetters and are only leasing their cars anyway. When this fad passes for them and they turn them back in, we'll get some real bargains. I love all Vettes, and look forward to adding a C5 to the stable. :yesnod:

Don't let a few bad apples spoil the pie (sorry for the cliche'). I know a a number of C5'ers, including several in our club, and they would never think of saying some of the things said and bashing C3's.

Some day I hope to have a C5 (or C6) but my heart will always be with the C3. I have so much fun and get so much enjoyment from cruising around the back roads around here. It gets plenty of looks too.

These threads have no value whatsoever. The C5 owners on this forum that see these are the enthusisats, and will quite understandably step up to defend themselves. The moron C5 owners out there don't frequent forums like this, so your observations will never get to those that need to hear them.

Any car with a CORVETTE badge on it is special. End of story.

I would not bash a C5. I do not particularly like the styling but it is an engineering marvel at a reasonable price.

Well said. They'll turn in the C5 at the end of the lease for the new Porsche SUV.

I love 'em all. Anybody know if there's any truth to what I read in that thread on the C5 forum that the C6 will have lines a lot more like the C3?

Sorry dennisr. didnt mean to offend you. I guess what I was getting at was that a lot of the newer cars are quite stylish and that if you really havent seen the newer vettes up close it could be difficult.Sorry once again

I wouldn't want to bash any Corvette because I like them all. I really envy the members here that are fortunate enough to own Vettes in more than one series. Someday, I'd love to have a solid axle (say '58), midyear ('67BB roadster), ZR1 and an '02 Z06 in my collection. If only.....

Love 'em all!!

However, I can only afford one reasonably priced Vette at the moment and I like the one I have! Now, I have to go out to buy some lottery tickets.....to have any hope of filling out the collection!

I like the c-5 except for the big butt and the oldmobile like ride...They are fast though but I am old school all the way..Just a different feel than what I like
