Hey All,
I am having a strange problem with the blower motor on my 77. First of all, the A/C works just fine and blows super cold. When I get into the car and start the A/C up and put the fan on high it runs just great for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes of so, the speed of the fan drop drastically, almost as if I moved the switch to low.
At this point, if I turn off the A/C for a minute or two and turn it back on, that fan is blowing at full speed again.
Go out and wiggle the high speed blower fuse or check it and see if someone installed a breaker in place of the fuse.Could be the high relay also. The relay has to be grounded to work so tap on the relay a little and see if you can get it to kick back up to high.It can also be the blower switch.also whats it do if you set the control to Max?

I always have the control set to Max so if I change from Max to Norm and back it doesn't help. I actually have to turn it to off and wait like a minute.
Where can I find the high speed blower fuse and the relay?
Have to wonder if your evaporator is freezing up. Once you turn it off, it melts and then air flows again. I guess a test would be to drive around with the AC off and see of the fan speed begins to fade after 20 minutes

I was actually thinking that could be a huge possibility cause there is a TON of water dripping off the evaporator after I park. What on earth could I do if the evaporator is freezing.
The freezing issue is possible but I dont think it makes sense with only a 2 min "warmup" to reset. If while this shutdown is going on you will look under the car and water is draining then its not frozen.IMO

Well, I needed a new horn lower contact anyway so I ordered a new relay as well cause my relay looked pretty abused. Hopefully that will help.
