noise coming from headlight when it opens
I got around to replacing the seals in one of my headlight actuators this weekend.
Now both headlights pop up like they are supposed to
.
The headlight makes a "clunk" noise when it finishes coming up. Any suggestions on what to look for?

normal would say -- when mine come up i hear the same thing just the two doors opening with authority as the should. now if the car says "Porsche" on the front i may have to question the noise!

There's an adjustable stop bolt on the 'stop arm' that you're probably hearing since the doors are closing faster.
Some times there was a rubber bumper on the stop bolt similar to the ones that are on the adjustable stops on the hood latches on the cowl.
Dr. Rebuild has these.

I agree with the others. When the lights come up all the way, they hit the stops when the knee breaks over, making the clunking noise you are hearing.
