My car has solid lines running from the trans up to just before the radiator and has rubber lines from there. The rubber keeps leaking. Can you get a solid set of line that run all the way? Or am I just not getting the rubber sealed good enough?
How hard is it to replace the rear struts? Looks intimidating. Also, what about rear wheel bearing replacement. OMG!! everything I have read says I need a fortune in tools to do this. Any help??

Just buy some rubber hose and some new hose clamps and just replace the rubber and clamps. They won't leak after that. You don't want solid all the way.
sort of. trans cooler flex lines are NOT your average rubber- they are a compound specifically made to handle the hot oil and are stamped "TRANS COOLER". If the hose is not stamped as such, it WILL NOT last in that application. Solid lines all the way up will flex too much and crack

That's a good point, I should have said specifically, "Replacement" hose, as to suggest rubber hose that is designed to replace the transmission cooler line sections.
