Plan for an afternoon per side. It starts with the removal of the door panel itself. Screws, and a few clips behind things like the door lock **** and the window crank if you don't have power windows.
Then, you'll see the latch assembly and the lock/handle assembly. Both are not hard unless you have huge hands.
Take pics of them before you remove the rods so you know how they went.
The latch can be tricky because it has a link rod to the outer door handle but a person with small hands can help with that, or you can use long needle nose pliers.
Just my luck!! I have football hands. Good for a lot of things but I have found it is not very good for most things on a vette. I have a son with small hands. Maybe he can find it in his heart to help the old man out.
