Frame cleanup
I am going to put the car up on jack stands and have a look underneath. Has anybody used POR-15 on thier corvette frame? If so what was the end result. What else can be done to clean the frame and protect it?

There are may threads about how various folks have treated their frames. Have you done any kind of a search?
What are you trying to accomplish and what sort of 'look' are you aiming for?

PS: Here's the frame from my 71. It was powder coated and then sprayed with Krylon #1613. I wanted an 'original' but 'a little nicer' look.

I have a 67 K20 plow truck I used it on. Some parts of the frame it work great others peeled, bubbled and rusted under paint BAD. I went to there office here in Jersey and I was told I cleaned the metal to well 
WTF!!!! He then told me I had to buy their primer
AND before anyone jumps in.....YES it did say in the directions new or clean metal should be primed first.
I'm sure your vette will do better than a Jersey plow truck!
