Default Door spring help

Is it possible to replace the driver door hinge spring without taking the door off? I put new springs on with the doors off the car and now the drivers side has poped out of postion. This job was a piece of cake with the doors off.

Yes but there is a tool you need or will have to make.Just be very careful because its easy to chip the door edge.

Check this out:

You will need a special tool which is simply a bent screw driver. You can get it from Ecklers for $10.00:

Good luck

I have seen this tool many times. I am guessing that you just pry the darn spring back into the cut out areas on the hinge.
