Used Air Gap on my Brodix Race Rite Oval Ported 489. With 950 DP and mild hydraulic 236/240 cam it made 528 bhp @ 5800 rpm & 465 ft lb's @ 3850 rpm on the dyno. Even Brodix recommended this inlet. Used an L88 hood with drop down open element filter & filter top and 1/4" to spare. No room now for plate nitrous!. I used a Torker 2 previously on the original 427 which went under stock BB hood. I remember independant tests showing Air Gap as being up there or better than most other dual or single plane inlets (although the tests were probably more applicable to street engines). Air Gap sits approximately 1 1/4" higher than Torker.
