The distributors are the same as far as fitment. A SB dizzy will fit in a BB no problem.
There may be some differences in the vacuum advance cans but that's about it.
I'm running a K66 dizzy with a Summit branded Mallory box. The pickup coil is the same.
Gunther,
The 68 and 69 distributor had different P/N. Differences were in the internal parts ( autocam, weights and springs)
68 w. 435HP - 1111296
69 w. 435 HP- 1111928
Both were trans. ignition

I still require the cast number of a early 68 BB unit, pls.
I have to buy myself one of this resto books with the numbers.
Rgds. Günther
There are a bunch of different rough casting numbers but I dont think they mean much.
As Donald said differences are in the items that are changeable.Vacuum advance can, weights and springs.
One thing you might want to watch is the "hole" or "no hole" in the casting for the small driven gear end play button.I believe a 68 unit should be a "no hole" casting. The no hole casting a little thicker in the end play area.
