Weird Starting problem
Okay I tried to start my 78 a couple of days ago and it just clicked. I turned the key again and nothing happened at all. After that first click nothing came on in the car, no interior lights, no click no gauges nothing. I went back out to the car today and figured i was going to be looking at fuses and relays, but first i decided to attempt to start it one more time same thing happened. I got in the car lights were on turned the key on all of the gauges worked turned the key, click, then nothing in the car worked again.
I checked the battery, starter and solenoid and they all checked out.
I am having trouble figuring out were to go next being that there seems to be no power in the car at all.
My best guess would be a short somewhere or maybe a bad ignition switch.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.

But on occasion I've seen an internal battery short or disconnect cause this. While working around the battery especially in this case wear some goggles just in case.Clean the battery cables connections and the negative ground connection at the frame under the battery to start.
