Fuse keeps blowing
Am installing Hot Rod Air in my '74. I had the electrical hooked up just fine last night. I could turn the fan switch to the right and the motor would go from low to medium to high just like it should. However, I did notice that if you wiggle the ground wire that comes directly off the motor, the motor would start and stop (short)? I ended up tieing the wire in place so that it wouldn't move. This morning I went to button everything up in the car (put dash back together) and noticed that everytime I turned the fan on, the fuse would blow. I then tried to make things as simple as possible to isolate the problem. I ran a jumper wire straight from the battery to the fan motor hot wire with a fuse in the middle. Everytime I hooked it up the fuse would blow. Any ideas as to where to start on this one? I'm starting to think the ground wire is bare inside the motor and it touching something???? Any thoughts?
