trying to lower the rear end. Already put the longer bolts in but it stayed the same. Even unbolted the shocks to see if they were holding it up. BEFORE
After

it's kind of hard to see with the spare tire carrier in the way but your halfshafts should be horizontal at rest. i assume, of course, that you have driven the car around for a mile or two to settle the rear suspension. how much longer are the bolts you put in?
i'm confused though since this is fairly simple suspension geometry. you didn't change anything else when you installed the bolts, right?
Yes I drove it and even jumped up and down on it. I did change the shock b/c they were shot, but I took them off to see if they were holding the car up. The bolts I took off were 6" and the new ones are 8"

Just why you have this issue is unclear, but as mentioned 10" bolts are available which will give you another couple inches of adjustment. To achieve factory original ride height, reference an AIM for the "D" trim height, measured as indicated below. Making some assumptions from your pics (BB w/F41?) expect this spec to be ~1.8" at curb weight (fluids and fuel full to capacity) with the suspension settled...
The above are the most reliable specs for checking ride height, as differences in tires or bodywork misalignments won't be entered into the suspension geometry equation. FWIW, eyeballing the 1/2 shafts isn't any more accurate than measuring fender clearance, by which we can already see you have a problem. In any event, I'd compare the front "Z" height while you're at it, as IMHO your "D" height shouldn't be set up at less than that actual dimension (sans suspension mods).
As for why, what all has been changed since the height was correct?
