Default Headers and performance

I have headers to a straight side exhaust on my '77. When the car gets up to about 2700 rpm at approx 65 mph there is alot of vibration felt through the steering. the driver side header runs about 1/4 inch from the steering box -- could the headers create this much vibration? Anyone every have this problem?

65 mph is the speed that an unbalanced wheel causes a vibration. Have your front tires balanced and you will be happy.

Vibration felt through steering = front tire balance problem.
Vibration felt through seat and floor = rear tire balance problem.
