rallye hub cap removal

What's the best way to remove the center cap on the factory rallye wheels without damaging them?

I use my fingers and just pull.

Of course the first wheel I tried is darn near impossible which is why I was thinking there's got to be some trick to this. The other three pulled off fairly easy. I managed to get the first one to come off but I had to pull really really hard.

I use a paint can opener from Lowes to take mine off. It seems to work well, and is small enough to get in there without damaging anything.

Fingers usually do it. Sometimes, fingers of one hand behind the outer rim (at top, pulling) and palm of other hand on cone pushing down will pop it off. If those won't work, use a 'pry' tool...but make sure it is plastic or wooden and is wide enough to not deform the rim of the cap.
