Richard Fortier, formerly of Paragon Corvette parts and accesories, has introduced a prototype of the 1st design exhaust tip that I would like to share with you.
OEM tips weren't originally configured with one size or another---one size fits all.

I'd like someone to make those with 2 1/2 inch, inlets.
Gibson makes them in stainless with 2 1/2" inlets. They have the brand name etched on them but other than that they look just like the originals. I have them on my -72.
Sorry for the off topic ss396t6, glad to see someone producing good reproductions of the originals. When I had stock mufflers I bought some cheap taiwanese tips for them and the material was half the thickness of the originals ...
Hi Scott,
Those exhaust tips look really good so far.
I'm thinking my 71 might like to have a pair in reserve even though it's had side exhaust since 1971.
Is there any idea of $$ yet?
Regards,
Alan

Thanks for the tip. I've been looking for 2.5" tips for my '71.
By the way, many of you know Richard Fortier who is formerly with Paragon Corvette parts and accessories. What is he doing now besides resurrecting exhaust tips? His word, "I do manufacture fuel and brake lines again out of T.E.W. steel (lead coated) no one has this material as it’s been banned by the EPA. If any one is doing a body off and requires this specific product, send them to me."
