The Wilwood factory DL kits shown here: http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/Pages/08/index.asp
Are not listed but certainly available. Currently I am only listing the new Caliper kits and the new BBKs with the 13" rotors etc.
I don't list many of the Wilwood factory kits on my pages. The reason is that I'd estimate 90% of what is listed on TCE pages is of TCE production yet is Wilwood caliper shod. With the vast number of kits that Wilwood has available it's a huge selection that could never make up a dedicated page as I have the Lightning, Impala SS, and others. In that case the Wilwood factory does not produce a kit for the vehicle but often refers their inquiries to me for the customer's needs. Also it's no secret that pricing factory kits is difficult due to the competition in the market thus I prefer to do $Call for the price. I have the entire price list in TCE retail form readily available.
Is that what you were driving at?

Can you use standard backspaced wheels with these?
Calipers are designed for a "direct replacement" for stock so I'd have to say yes. "D8-4 calipers can be used with any wheel that clears the OE
calipers."
I thought about the aftermarket calipers for my vette because it had to have all four replaced but the car sits a lot. Since AutoZone had the life time warranty replacement, for ~$60 a caliper, that seemed like the best option.
After a little shipping delay (that wasnt Todds fault) (Maybe he will send me a free t-shirt I Came home today and I saw 2 wilwood boxes on my porch!!! (YEA) I will keep everyone posted on how the install goes. Looks like it should be simple. The kit seems to have everything I need.
I ordered the clear ones so they are very unobtrusive and look almost stock. They bolt to the stock locations and use the stock pads. The only thing that doesn't fit are the stock lines. Since I am restoring the car ('63 convertible) anyway it was a small matter to get the correct lines from Van Steel when I ordered the calipers. They weigh about half what the stock ones do and look terrific.
Considering they are Wilwood and only cost $300 each, I
doubt I'll be disappointed.
Good luck... GUSTO
Hey GUSTO14 did your wilwoods come with the rubber looking piston that goes in between the caliper and the brake pad. The complete kit set I just ordered from TCE was just a empty caliper , (when you are looking at the inside of the caliper you see the two round circles on each side) Maybe I am missing something Tried to call Todd but I think he is still at Barrett Jackson. If anyone knows how these come please let me know. (I was hoping to work on it this weekend).
Thanks!!!
Stick your finger in there. You'll feel the Wilwood logo on the inside of the piston. Unless you don't find a stainless steel piston in there...in which case that would reeeaally be a first!
I am not talking about inside (internal) in the caliper. I am talking about holding the caliper in your hand and looking inside of it where the brake pads go. The factory ones have rubber pieces in between the caliper and brake pad. I will post a pic in a min of what I am talking about. (as soon as I figure out how) Thanks
