I had to flip my valve cover end for end because the breather wouldn't fit under the wiper door actuator on the passenger side. Now the "Edelbrock" is upside down. I am thinking a plaque glued on with a simple "Corvette" stamped or engraved would be a good fix. Any idea were I might find such a plaque or even a better idea ?
Why don't you just pick up a new "Stingray" fender emblem or a set of crossed flags for the front or rear of the early models and grind off the posts that go into the body? Glue that to the valve covers, it'd look pretty boss.
As far as the idea of the Stringray emblem, you can go to a metal supply house and get them to shear you the correct size alum. plate to cover the top of your valve cover. you could weld it to the top or drill and tap for some cool little button head screws - then attach your emblem to that.
Edelbrock makes several breathers that can be added to allmost any valve cover, consider a solid rubber plug for your current breather hole and add one of the others wherever you have room.
