Wow, nice. Can you post some pictures of your setup. You are a little lighter than me so far. L79racer sent me some of his. Maybe he'll post some up. His came out great except for one welding mistake made by the company that makes the kit.

This is with a completely stock interior, too. Also, this was weighed at a shop that does circle track car chassis so, his scales are pretty accurate. Now, I bet I can get this thing under 3000 pretty easy.
Thanks for the weight info, removing some of the interior/changing the seats will definitely lighten you up, was wondering a 700R4 vs. a built powerglide weight difference......I know a Tremec is about 40 pounds lighter than a THD400....

Yeah, I finally did. I drove it about 15 miles to track after putting 5 gallons of gas in it at the Shell station. Lowered the drag radial pressure and softened the coilover/shock settings. It was able to pull 1.48 60 foots and a 6.65 1/8 mile passes. This works out to about 10.40 or so in the 1/4 mile. The thing hooked up and went straight, then I drove it back home. I was very happy.

I would recomment this setup to anyone wanting to do this type of modification to their Corvette. You definitely don't need a straight axle with the aftermarket part available, but this was a very cost effective option for me.

The rear shocks (QA1 single adjustable) were set to 2 clicks from full soft at the track. My front shocks have 3 settings and I had them at the 90/10 position and I always take the front sway bar off. The front shocks are the 3 way ajustable Summit brand cheapies.

Sounds perfect to me when you're able to drive it hard at the track and still be able to drive it home. Well done
