DYNO TIME -- How much $$$ ?
Questions --
1) What will a day at the dyno do for me? The car is running well with current "rough idea" tune-up. Realistically, what sort of power gain can I expect from carb and timing optimization? And does having things optimized buy me anything in terms of engine life?
2) What should I expect to pay for a the dyno session?
Here's my situation:
Recent rebuild of our '68 big block.
Excellent rebuild, and significant investment, including all new internals. Running 9.5 compression and a bit more cam vs stock, not radical, a street/strip grind.
A day at the dyno would be fun, for sure. But frankly my hobby budget is feeling a bit tight right now. (Isn't everyone's?)
Thanks all-

2. Most Dyno sessions will charge by the hour for tuning and just dyno pulls to get hp......expect $75-100 for 3 pulls and any where from $150-200 per hour for tuning.
The key is to be well prepared with a good running engine and a definite plan for changes in tune with tools and parts. In about 30 minutes you will likely learn what you will in a day or two of pissing around on the street....

with tfi racing, on a new build think of it as money well invested! A rich running engine just fouls plugs, a lean engine will not last long........
