Default exhaust cutouts suggestions

I'd like to put some exhaust cutouts on my 72. I have headers with 3" collectors down to 2" pipes. Can anyone suggest the best cutouts that don't have leakage problems. Are they bolt on or do they need to be welded? Whats the best location in the exhaust system to install them? Do I need to run pipes from the cutout and where to? I could use some advice from anybody who has some installed. Any help or ideas appreciated.

I used warlock mufflers. It went in the stock location and the cut outs are built in the muffler.

i have qtp's on my c-5 they bolt on to a weld in y. i think you would like them best right before the mufflers. they just y off of the pipe and you can bolt on a down turn.

ok thanks for the info I'm looking for a bolt-on application. I don't want to have to weld anything.

You have 3" collectors going into 2" pipes? Why? What's the benefit of the collectors if they have 2" restrictions after them?

{It's not a 'concern' to me, just seems like an odd thing to do.}

I got the 2.5 y drom summit with the QTP electric cuttouts. I had them welded so there's no leakage. I installed the qtp setup in about an hour. There's no leakage and they sound awsome.

If you want it loud install it right after the header.
In front of the muffler will make it sound like a truck.
