Default Engine Lift Brackets Installation

I have a set of oem engine lift brackets I want to mount on my intake. I want to be sure I have them on correctly. Does someone out there have a diagram or sketch of where they should go on the intake manifold. Engine is a 68 327/300 hp.

Thanks,

Hi R,
I believe the front bracket goes on the first intake manifold bolt on the driver's side and the rear bracket goes on the top bellhousing bolt on the pasenger's side.

Alan

Alan,

I'm still not sure I understand yet, just slow I guess. One of the bracekts is shaped like a "U" (2 bolts) and one is a simple 90 degree bend (1 bolt).

Which one do you think is driver's side and which pass side?

Thanks

Sounds like you have the 71 and newer. The u shape goes driver side front. The older one only had one hole.

Hi R,
Z10 is right about the front bracket with 2 holes being for a 71-82. It will work on your 68 on the first two intake bolts. It sounds like the other bracket might be a BB front bracket.
Look at the lift brackes shown at Paragon, you'll see the 68-70 SB, the 71-82 SB, and the 68-74 BB brackets, then you'll know what you have.
Regards,
Alan

As others have said, you have the newer 71-up style.
The correct 68-70 bracket has just one hole and goes onto the 2nd intake bolt driver side.

The other one goes on your rear passenger side bellhousing bolt unless you
the automatic transmission, then no bracket was used.
