Chrome breather
Just got a chrome breather but I don't know what to do with the oil breather hose leaving my valve cover that went into the old breather?

Street engine? Forget the chrome breather and leave the factory PCV system in place.

I kept the PCV hooked up on the drivers side, and installed one of those chrome breather filters in the valve cover on the passenger side.

You should swap the Breather and PCV, ( the grommets are interchangable as in the hole in the valve covers are the same size ) and then the PCV hose would only be a couple of inches long. If your worried about the look, Billet Specialties sells a cool looking billet polished aluminum pcv
To the original poster, all street motor should run a PCV system if only to keep oil residue off the valve covers

Couple of good suggestions. I'll put 'em in the job jar for spring.

I pulled my PCV out and put in a chrome breather. The hose runs to the base of your carb. Pull it off and cap it.

PCV valve replaced the vent tubes that were used in the first V-8's.

I did the same thing BassCat did. That way I have an active PCV and both sides can breath.
