Car is stored for winter so I have not even taken it out yet, but am
getting ANTSY. I'am no mechanic but know a few things and mechanics for support. One other thing, who do I have to help me edit my profile, picture too big,Thank You in Advance.

Your choices are many. If your engine is staying mostly stock, the difference in terms of performance among the available options will not be that great. I would go look at what summit racing or jegs has listed for your car and you can get a good feel for what is out there. Quality and features will vary, and you will get what you pay for.
As for me, I have a set of Stan's Tri-Y headers about to go in to accompany my 290 HP GMPP crate engine, which is pretty much the same as your L-82 once de-smogged, I think. Stan's is a small shop that is known for their good quality and fitment. Since I was not going for all out HP, I figured that would be a good way to go for me, but your goals may be different.
Just do a search on this forum for threads with "headers" in the title and you will get tons of information.
I'm in the same boat as you. After hours of researching this forum and the web, I decided I'm ordering the Dynomax WLK 86008 tomorrow. Summit sells them for $325, but they should match the price that these guys have them for...

i decided to change the look of my stock 78 while i was trying to add a little sound , the stock exhaust was just way to quiet. i put on ceramic coated hooker header side pipes. i really like the agressive look that it gave and they sound GREAT!
Last spring got a set of new Flowtech ceramic coated from a member here. Easy install into a '78 L-82 4 speed. Only needed a little dimple to clear the z-bar.
