The fit around the wheel arches is pretty snug, and holds the bottom edge well.
I used a couple of L shaped metal brackets secured in each top corner and one in top centre of panel.
It works well, and I think it looks clean and tidy.
Maintains good accessible space behind the seats and it doesn't interfere with the convertible top when tucked away either.

Good point!!!!!!!!!!!!! This thread is useless without photo's. Buyer's have to actually see what they are about to purchase. Maybe, the OP has had a run of bad luck and will post up some photo's in the future.

Lets give him the benefit of the doubt.

I built a speaker enclosure for the back of my 79 out of plywood with internal baffles to match the design of the speakers. I designed the enclosure to sit behind the wheel wells which holds it in place. I covered it with foam back headliner material, but matching carpet could also be used. I had to turn my bass down as I could feel the sounds waves on the back of my head. The enclosure cost me about $10 for the material to cover it and I used scrap 3/4" plywood. A lot of sound for a little money.
