solid body mounts?
Are these "solid mounts" and are they half as thick as the rubber kind? It looked like it in a pic I saw of rubber mounts and I have issues that this might help explain. thanks

Here's what I think I remember....1972 and before were solid mounts that were made of aluminum, exactly what you have in your picture. 1973 and beyond were changed to rubber to help reduce the millions of squeeks and rattles in these cars and to also ease the ride a bit... Many have changed their solid mounts to rubber or poly... many stick with what was stock...
