Buying a 68, door panels look like they have velvet or something on them not sure about originality..... anyway does on ehave to buy the whole door panel or are the skins that can be put over them worth anything or just cheesy....
open to other ideas also
thanks
Re-skinning an interior door panel is a PITA. I know...I did it. Very tedious and not worth the difference in cost of the new panels (IMO). Bite the bullet... [And, no, there haven't been any 'velvet' covered interior panels since Huggy Bear sold his wheels.]

Huggy Bear: It's a '76. Won't be out 'til next year. But I know some people that know some people that robbed some people.
I’ve done the skins. . . way back when new panels were not available! No way would I ever attempt doing this again. They turned out ok, but the job is not easy to do and any imperfection that is under the skin will show if not repaired. It might not show up today or tomorrow but when the skin shrinks it will.
The word on the street is “ain’t no velvet”, I’d have to agree.
