Hi! Have someone an idea how i can disassemble a wiper door (same as headlight) actuator relay? Mine is leaking. Have the original one at my car and do not like the idea to change it to a reproduction.
Thanks, Peter

See that ring holding the 2 halves of the bladder housing together? It's just crimped on. Get a thin, flathead screwdriver (sharpen it if you have to) and a pair of needlenose pliers. Slowly and carefully pry it up all the way around. Then that stainless top will pop right off.
Hi Peter,
Bob Demmel, in Texas, rebuilds the actuators you might want to check with him to see if he does the relays too. 210-393-3958 or 972-377-2096.

There's a small clip on the bottom that comes off easily. I removed the spools and super glued small o-rings to them, lubed them up with vaseline and reassembled.
Thanks again for help!!!! :-)
Aktbird: good idea, the control port of mine hold vacuum so i will try to pull out the spool.
Think it is not easy to get the cap off the relay without damage.
toddalin: thanks, hope i do not need it but by the way: how is the condition and the price? Are these the 1969-1971 ones?
Alan: have the mail...tell me if you need it one day

Yes they are the "two finger" '69-'71 model and they are the two that were removed from headlights of my first day production '70 (#131). Because NCRS could not see the tops on these, I put on the later model and socked these away for a "rainy day."
They operated fine when I pulled them off the car ~15 years ago. The cad shows some "blackened" spots and the "foams" are missing.
I would like $200/pr realizing that Zip charges $125 each for the later, incorrect versions. But I am open to reasonable offers.
With Ganey's help, I was able to restore my vacuum relays in July of 2007. They're still working.
Here's my experience:
Un-crimp, remove plunger, clean rubber stem with alcohol, apply a "thin" film of Black RTV to both ends, let dry, apply a little Vaseline, re-install plunger, spring and cap, and re-crimp.
