differential fluid

would this work as differential fluid? the local autozone guy said it should do the trick... im just wondering what trick ya know? i dont wanna unwillingly "Bubba" my car

sorry for the quality... low but w/e. used my phone.

edit: my car is a '79

In a pinch it would work but I would not run it in the rear of a posi unit. Get the correct posi fluid and additive from GM.

I believe that 80W-90 is what the owners manual recommends.
It should work. The brand does not matter besides Valvoline is good.

If it is a posi traction diff, you may also want to add one of these.
These are available at the local GM dealer.
