Huh? Have I seen a BBC in a C3? Well, ....uh,....yeah, the last time I went into my garage. LS6 in a Corvette was one year only, 1971, and they only made a couple hundred of them (188 comes to mind, but I don't trust my memory since I have both CRS and old timer's disease). Chevy made at least a couple thousand big block Corvettes per year from '68-'74, so I don't consider them at all rare. What kind of info are you looking for?

Yaaaa big blocks. I have 2 of them, check out my albums. You will have to go with a higher hood though on your project if your going with the two 4 barrels. All shark big blocks had a low rise aluminum manifold. Except the L-88 and ZL-1 which used an older style factory high rise. Then they got the L-88 hood. My sons yellow 77 has this hood, but it's a small block 350. It's just for looks to go with his header side pipes.

You can put any cubic inch in. The outside of the big block is the same even if you go up to 572 cubic inches.

What planet have you been living on the last 41 years??? While they are not a dime a dozen they have been around forever.

A 540 huh? You will never get any traction in a C3 without major mods, then you have lowered the value to the point where it doesn't make sense. The 454 in my 71 spins the tires in almost all gears so a 540 would be probably burn your tires to nothing in about a week

You'll need the tranny and rear end to handle all that too. Snowman obviously has crazy money to do that too. What an awesome car he built..

I have a BB in my 69. And I also have an Edelbrock C-66R manifold with dual Edelbrock 4 bbl carbs. It was under a lo-rise hood- NOT an L-88 style or BB hood. Lo- profile air cleaners are required.

As long as you stay with a 9.8 deck block and don't get silly with raised exhaust ports in the heads, it's a bolt in deal. Even with raised exhaust ports, I don't think it'd be a real deal unless the ports were .500 or .600 higher. And they might fit too with a little mod to the headers.
