Default Now I Need Help!

I pulled my L48 part, found the cam with wiped out lobes. You know where it went. Brought the short block to the machine shop for bearings and rings. Well I need new pistons and crank cut. 355ci. is coming.
Well here is my problem, I purchased all the top end parts. I have
Edel heads w/64cc chambers, with .015" head gasket to get proper quench @ 9.5:1 comp. w/12cc pistons, and .027 in the hole. will have deck milled a minimum.
Options are: 10 or 11cc dish pistons and use .015" head gasket or

get 5cc flat tops with .038 head gasket, will boost compression but will also increase the deck to about .061" more quench. Want to run pump gas. Cam is 219/227-112 Adv. Dur. 262/268

I'm looking for some experienced advise, Thanks

i would go with the flattops and thicker head gaskets since you have the 64 cc heads......also i would go ROLLER here even though it costs more.....go roller hydraulic and never worry about wiping again.....face it, that block has already wiped one cam....could be lifter bore run out which is nearly impossible to repair, a roller is the best remedy...good luck......

Thanks again. I went with the 5cc flattops and the .041 felpro head gaskets. That will bring my compression in at 9.7:1 Static & 8.1:1 Dynamic which is good for me. The only thing I'm worried about is the quench @ .068. Do you like I'll get ping! ping! on pump gas 89 oct.

IMHO, Thats a lot of quench and will more than likely require 92 premium gas with your compression ratios.
