Here's a "WHILE-I'M-AT-IT"
The picture above with the sign "remove screws and support"
Take each one of those screws out, put some locktite on them and put them back. Lot's of columns have been damaged by those screws coming loose and folk not fixing them. And it's also a fair bet that someday yours will come loose, right along with everyone else that uses the tilt feature of their column. Even if they never come loose- you're in there now.
