Check your u-joints.

What the hell is a "cookie on the sand"?

And check the pinion support bracket to ensure it's tight at all three bolts and the rubber cushion is still there.

MHO

Both of which are illegal by the way. $200 later...not even a warning....wasnt until I stopped the 7th or 8th donut I even noticed the cop BTW i was on my wifes ATV, not in the 'Vette.....I should have just peeled out and took off into the bush to avoid the ticket. I was so dizzy that I couldnt walk..cop gave me a breathalizer test to be sure i wasnt drunk. Passed NP.

Go under the car and look at the rear snubber cushion. Feel between the differential bracket and the frame bracket and see if the cushion is in good shape.

My guess is that the cushion set bit the dust.

Not sure if the car is an AT or MT but if it is an AT, you can have someone else get behind the wheel and with you on the ground beside the car listen and look at the front of the rear end. If the cushions are bad you’ll hear and see it.

thanks for all the replies! and yeah its automatic for now

and yeah, thats right, donuts are smaller circles, cookies are where you're not just spinning but drifting in a circle alot more fun because you dont get as dizzy :P and cookies arent as bad for your car because its not pushing on your front tires as much, instead you're basically spinning your rear tires and driving with your front tires

Auto makes it easy for you to check and this is why I asked. Just have someone put it in reverse from park and if you see and hear the clunk at the rear end you have probably found your problem.

If you do not hear it, then start looking at the U joints. Just have the person in the car take it from reverse to drive a few times!

i should have time to check that tonight

by the way, this is why i order from willcox now instead of ecklers and the other stores. Willcox is just nice and helps out with anything thats needed

edit: and ill check the cushions but im sure its the rear gears because i can hear it grind at a certain point (just the driver's side axe) at every revolution. if anyone reading this has any suggestions, i would appreciate em

if that is the problem, is it worth it going pulling one at a junkyard from like another c3? (there's 2 77s not far that are up for parts)
